Roots of Empathy focuses on raising levels of empathy, resulting in more respectful and caring relationships.
At the heart of the programme is the parent and baby who visit the classroom nine times over the school year.
Mrs Francis is our trained Roots of Empathy instructor.She delivers the programme using the baby as a teacher and this helps the children identify and reflect upon their own feelings and the feelings of others.They also deal with other areas like reducing aggression and bullying and finding their own solutions to problems.We hope that these will be skills that will set our children up for life.The children love the programme and are gaining so much from it.
