We have had an exciting start to Primary 2. We started by learning all about ourselves. We had a doctor's surgery role play area as one of our structured play activities as well as play dough, construction toys, jigsaws and thinking skills challenges. We enjoyed several big books including 'The Shark in the Park', 'Dear Tooth Fairy' and 'The Runaway Pizza'.
When October came, we went a walk in Brooke Park and looked for signs of Autumn. We are lucky enough to have some beautiful Chestnut trees in our grounds and were able to collect lots of shiny conkers.
Our next topic was all about food and we went on a trip to Domino's Pizzas. Here we saw how pizzas are made and we each made our own tasty pizza.
After Halloween when we had a Halloween Disco and had lots of fun dressing up, we set to work practising for our Christmas show. We acted out the Nativity and we were angels, stars, sheep, shepherds, wise men and of course, Mary and Joseph. Our parents really enjoyed our singing and acting.
We finished our first term with a trip to the cinema to see 'The Good Dinosaur' and a party where Mrs. Polley impressed us all with her super dancing!
